With support from CAKE, I attended the International Supercomputing Conference (ISC) 2026 in Hamburg, Germany, where I presented my poster, “Accelerating Multi-Omics Analysis with High-Performance Computing”, as part of the Women in HPC poster session. CAKE’s funding was instrumental in enabling my travel and participation at this internationally recognised conference, providing an opportunity that would not otherwise have been possible. The poster highlighted how high-performance computing infrastructure can accelerate the integration of large-scale biological datasets for biomarker discovery. The conference provided a valuable opportunity to engage with the international HPC community, learn about emerging technologies, share research findings, and expand professional networks. The experience increased the visibility of my research, strengthened my understanding of advanced digital research infrastructure, and enabled knowledge exchange with researchers and HPC experts from around the world.
