This project delivers knowledge, skills and opportunities to Research Technical Professionals (RTPs) nationally by leveraging the UK Technology Specialist Network (TSN). It provides the TSN and the wider RTP community with access to training and development activities that are complementary to those offered through existing initiatives such as TALENT, WASC and the UK Institute for Technical Skills and Strategy (ITSS).
The TSN has grown to over 300 members in its first year, and the project provides support for RTP travel, accommodation and carer responsibility bursaries to ensure opportunities are inclusive across career stages.
The project is one of 11 UKRI Strategic Technical Platforms funded by EPSRC and the UKRI Digital Research Infrastructure programme to support and develop the RTP community.
