This project will unite a collaborative team of internationally recognised Research Technical Professionals (RTPs) with wide-ranging expertise in the area of biomolecule engineering — across the fields of biology, chemistry, automation and computation — and develop a national facility and technical training hub. The hub will underpin the work of the Manchester Institute of Biotechnology and provide systematic support to RTPs working across this interdisciplinary space.
The project is one of 11 UKRI Strategic Technical Platforms funded by EPSRC and the UKRI Digital Research Infrastructure programme to support and develop the RTP community.
