HiPEAC 2027
The 22nd HiPEAC conference takes place in Glasgow, Scotland, from 18 to 20 January 2027. HiPEAC is the leading European forum for experts in computer architecture, programming models, compilers and operating systems for general-purpose, embedded and cyber-physical systems.
The main conference runs alongside a large programme of workshops and tutorials, special sessions, several poster sessions and an industrial exhibition. Areas of focus include safety-critical systems, cybersecurity, energy efficiency and machine learning. This year’s workshop and tutorial themes span:
- next-generation architectures, including RISC-V, chiplets and heterogeneous systems
- the software stack: compilers, operating systems and runtime systems for new hardware
- hardware acceleration and systems for AI and machine learning
- the computing continuum, from edge and IoT through to cloud, HPC and exascale
- trustworthy systems: cybersecurity, safety-critical systems and formal verification
- sustainability and energy-efficient computing
The conference also hosts the HiPEAC Student Challenge, in which selected student teams present their work on 20 January.
With HiPEAC in the UK this year, it is a great opportunity for the UK’s digital research infrastructure community, and especially those working on novel architectures, compilers, programming models and HPC systems software, to connect with the European computing systems research community.
